What is parts of speech?
The parts of speech are all the words in a sentece, divided in diferents parts. There are 8 kinds or types according to their function and meaning.
Here we can see the 8 parts of speech:
- NOUN
- PRONOUN
- ADJECTIVE
- VERB
- ADVERB
- PREPOSITION
- CONJUNCTION
- INTERJECTION
- Medium 1 word: Do
- 2 words in a sentence: Do it
- 3 words in a sentence: You do it
- more than 3 words in a sentence: Mr. Candray was a good vice principal who lives in Dhaka and teaches the students English very quickly. Oh! Last year he died.
According to the previous sentence we have:
good= ADJECTIVE
in= PREPOSITION
and= CONJUNCTION
teaches= VERB

Oh!= INTERJECTION
he= NOUN
But, what does each part of speech consist of?
NOUN: a noun is a word used to name a person, animal,place, thing and abstract idea.
Proper noun: Daniel, Saturn, Frida, Jacke.
Common noun: bed, phone, pencil.
Abstract noun: love, vanity, lucky, faith.
Collective noun: class, team, army, group
PRONOUN: a word used in the place of one or more nouns.

Demostrative pronoun: this, these, that, those
Interrogative pronoun: who, whom, whose, what, which, where, when
Reflexive pronoun: myself, yourself, himself, herself, itself, ourselves, yourselves, themselves
ADJECTIVE: a word used to modify or describe a noun or pronoun.

Adjective of quantity: much, little, any, none, several, most, half, few, many
Adjective of number: one,two, three, four, five, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, single, double, triple,fivefold
VERB: a word used to express action or state of being.
Infinitive verbs: wake up, brush, go, check, work, chat, play, eat, drink, clean, sleep, cook, call
Past verbs: woke up, brushed, went, called, slept, cooked, worked
Past participle: woken up, gone, done,driven, drunk, made,
ADVERB: a word used to modify a verb, an adjective, or another adverb.
